Hi I have used one of the lovely Jumbo pegs from Natalie and Amys shop they are fab, I need to get some more they are great brill to decorate for holding photos or name tags at weddings or birthday partys
I love traditional rich red, green and gold colours for Christmas cards so these gorgeous Dovecraft 'Vintage Christmas' papers are just perfect for me ... in fact they are my favourite Christmas papers this year :-)
* Card Recipe *
Most of the products used on my card are available at Natalie and Amy's online store by clicking on the links.
Almost everything I have used here is in the shop. I started with a 5x5 card blank
I have matted and layered a 13cm x 13cm square of white card on to it. I
inked the white card with all 3 of the distress inks in the spring seasonal set I started with the Squeezed
Lemonade and mad it go almost to the middle of the card then put on
some peacock feather not going quite as far into the centre then
finished it off by adding Shaded Lilac around the very edges. Then I
stamped the flowers at the bottom and the sentiment in brown ink. They
are both from the Silhouette Grasses
set. Then I have added some texture with tiny dots of platinum liquid
pearl. The butterflies are from Local king rubber stamp and the set is
just called Butterflies. I used the squeezed lemonade distress ink again just to give the butterflies a bit of colour and then added some gold stickles so they sparkle. I have used collall all purpose glue
to do my matting and layering and I have to say I am so in love with
this glue. I use it all the time now I don't think I will ever go back
to tape. To attach the butterflies I have used collall silicone glue so they stand away from the card a bit and look more 3D.
How cute is this little guy!?! I just LOVE him and to add to what you can see I have added a wobbler to his head so he really moves :D You can get your hands on him in my store HERE. He was so easy to colour and to give you an idea of size he is on a 5 x 5 card. The beautiful frame die that I have used you can also get in my store it is from Lea - bilities and is HERE. I have inked through the dies as well to give it a bit of colour and for my inking I used Dreamweaver brushes and Salty Ocean distress ink. I thought I would add a bit of sparkle so put some Glamour dust
on to I hope look a bit like snow. The paper I have used is from the
Dovecraft back to basics modern pack and then to finish it off I added
some clear gems for a bit more sparkle.
